Can it start a command that run in background indefinetly?

I just installed arch, and I am still learning all basic stuffs...

I am using i3 wm (x11 + sddm) and I am trying to make i3 it run xbanish (while running it disable the cursor after pressing the keyboard). xbanish must keep running to work.

So I tried to add this line in the i3 config to run detached:

exec --no-starrtup.id xbanish &

It seems to start and work once, but as I start using the system, when the mouse pointer appears, then it doesnt hide anymore.
