"AR is not Tracking!" WebXR on AR compatible Phones #4265
Comments
@bialpio Android 8 is pretty old - is this a known Chromium issue? |
We should still work on Android 8. The fact that SceneViewer backend also does not seem to work is suspicious - can you confirm that any other ARCore-powered app is functional, just to rule out some ARCore issue? |
Hi there, even I was wondering so I got my hands on that device. ARcore Element App too was black screen. So I did the diagnostic and found the Sensor Hub not working. It's a hardware issue However I came across Oppo F21 Pro 5G with same issue. I'll get the device in my hand shortly. @elalish Shall I open a new issue for Oppo F21 Pro 5G? |
No, let's keep all the details here. I need to find the right person to assign this to. |
facing the same issue on my samsung A54 5g with latest chrome browser on android, the AR viewer gets stuck while showing "AR Not tracking" and crashes. |

On WebXR mode - Camera opens but throws error "AR is not Tracking!" and no object gets placed.
On SceneViewer mode - Black screen (We anyway do not want to implement SceneViewer mode)
Same happens when I deploy on our servers with project downloaded from https://modelviewer.dev/editor/
