Not possible to boot from usb on Raspberry Pi 5 #1773

As the SD card slot on my Raspberry Pi 5 is broken i tried to boot from usb, but right after starting it up, I get the following error:
sfdisk: cannot open /dev/mmcblk0: No such file or directory

The same issue was also reported here: https://community.umbrel.com/t/kernel-panic-during-installation-on-a-pi5-without-sd-card-boot-on-m2-nvme/15592

I am also having this issue trying to USB boot a raspberry pi 5. Flashed using the raspberry pi imager
