What happened?

I installed this application, didn't yet change anything, hit apply, and then my GDM shows using the Adwaita theme and the Noto Sans font. I didn't notice that the options were already changed to something else than the current options set by my Pop!_OS (e.g. Adwaita theme instead of Pop theme, show battery percentage was on)... After some searching and trying, I managed to revert to the standard look of the Pop GDM, but don't know if anything else was overwritten.

Expected behavior

The application should have read the current GDM settings and presented them in the options, instead of just recklessly overwriting the current ones using the default template after hitting apply...

To Reproduce

  • On Pop desktop, launch using the command line since the GUI launcher somehow doesn't do anything
  • Don't change anything, just hit apply
  • Logout / Switch user to get to GDM, now the changes are visible

Detailed Explanation (Optional)

No response

Application Version

4.1

Format/Source

Flatpak

Environment

  • OS: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
  • GNOME: 42.9

Same here. Just wanted to change background color to pitch black and now my cursor is moving so quickly it's unusable.

Meanwhile, any suggestions on how to revert settings to the original ones? The option provided by the application, clearly, does not do so.
