Missing documentation surrounding the requirement of using database XA drivers and configuring a transaction manager to make framework transactions work

Describe the issue
There seems to be no documentation on the requirements and configuration needed to make transactions work in the framework. It seems that a XA variant database driver needs to be configured in the context.xml and that a transaction manager needs to be configured.
