Non blocking execution of shell script?

Sorry cannot delete this ticket. Please close issue, it's my nonsense.

I have this simple setup:

    lane :sample do
        mapping_url = sh("../config/ci/get-zzz-mapping-url.sh #{param1} #{param2}")
        UI.message("url is: #{mapping_url}")
    end

Shell script executes curl and does echo of some result I am hoping to capture on fastlane side, as mapping_url. The logging message (UI.message) returns, somehow, param1 - and is written before curl even finishes execution. As per documentation, I was expecting blocking sh execution (wait until script finishes). Is this normal behavior?
