Big news from Infura last month: https://blog.infura.io/filters-support-over-https/

A lot of us have been using websockets because of lack of support in the past. My understanding is that Infura's filters API is a little bit different from your standard RPC node.

Will Eventeum support this soon so we can safely switch to https provider

Hi @hshar7. Yep, that really is good news from Infura. I'm going to aim to get https support implemented for the next release of Eventeum.
