XML Sitemap not shown

Description

When I try to access the sitemap.xml, it shows me the error:

This page contains the following errors:
error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open up baseurl/sitemap.xml

Same issue but only on a specific language

One of our clients has the same issue, but it only appears on the sitemap for one of the languages setup for their website. Additionally, the main sitemap.xml seems to be working fine, but the underlaying sitemaps which are referred to in that document all have the error mentioned above by @fabianhaef .

For the English site, which is the primary site, everything seems to be fine and no blank lines can be found in any of the XML files.
