I'm a bit skeptical as this would make the UI more complex and because I don't quite see the real world use case yet.
That's already possible via shortcuts.
How could you have written down the time? The user just recorded the video, I don't see how. Sure, the user might have screwed up and restarted, and manually wrote down the approximate time then. But that's still at best +-1 seconds accurate, so one would still have to fine tune after entering this approximate time. So yeah, I'm not yet convinced. Can you maybe provide a specific user story where someone would benefit from this input fields and where they couldn't achieve the same thing in the same time by using the available controls (scrubber, shortcuts, ...)? |
