Hello,

Firstly be patient with me as I have only started using DC++.

I have the latest version 2.4.2 of EiskaltDC++ for Windows 64 Bit installed.

I have registered and connected to to the public hub 420kings.420-net.org:420 to test DC++.

I am prompted for my password and then logged in where I can see a heap of users on the right hand pane.

If I right-click a user and select Browse Files nothing happens. I have tried several users, some with passwords, firewall, nothing, etc. Nothing happens with any of them.

If I do a test search for "mp3" I get no results.

I have tried exiting my ZoneAlarm Free Firewall and it doesn't make a difference.

In my EiskaltDC++ preferences I have the Connection values set to "Auto detect connection" which has the setting "Firewall with UPnP" selected.

I tried searching for a forum for EiskaltDC++ but could not find one so I am left with posting the question here.

If there is an IRC channel for EiskaltDC++ then that would be a help as I could chat to experts there.

Hope you can help.

I had the same issue with Firewall with UPnP! selected (Linux/Vers. 2.4.2)
The Solution was to change TLS settings in Advanced Tab from Require TLS to Allow TLS

After this change i was able to browse files.

Hello rmueck,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately changing the TLS setting made no difference.

Hi! mhhh too bad ... but i saw that your WAN-ip 192.168.0.100 which is a LAN-ip. Maybe enabeling "Automatic update external ip" will help? You might also check your UpnP status on your Router. See attached screenshot.

Hello rmueck,

Happy new year to you.

Enabled "Automatic update external ip" and checked that UPnP is enabled in the router but I still have the same problems.

If I use the program FlylinkDC++ as a test it works perfectly but I prefer EiskaltDC++ so I would like to get that working.

Strange.....
