Describe the bug

The app is on chinese since I added the Chinese system keyboard layout (Simplified Pinyin)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add Chinese layout
  2. restart MacBook

Expected behaviour

Maintain the system UI language or be able to select one in the app preferences.

I realized that the app store installs the 1.8 release, but the bug persists after updating (to 1.9) using the dmg file from github
