Hi there, I recently updated my os to windows 11. And in windows 11 we can only access taskbar settings, so I think you need to give an option to access audioband settings

This may be a problem.
On Microsoft's page of Window 11 Feature deprecations and removals, they state:

Apps can no longer customize areas of the Taskbar.

I very much hope that doesn't spell the end for this project.

This is concerning!

Im happy to announce we have found a workaround for Windows 11.
An installation guide can be found here: https://audioband.github.io/AudioBand/audioband/Windows11.html

This has only been tested by very few people so if there are any issues please let me know

If you do not wish to patch your taskbar entirely, you cannot install audioband currently, this MAY change in the future but I wouldnt get your hopes up yet.

I was able to use the instructions @svr333 pasted above. I liked the StartAllBack one better. Audioband installed and is now on my taskbar! But now I've got the INVALID_CLIENT: Invalid redirect URI error that won't go away even though the link is in my spotify developer dashboard. Any ideas or is this a W11 issue?

@bphillips79 not an issue with W11, due to updating the software we also had to update our dependencies, so the setup has slightly changed.
Please follow the steps found here again (more specifically, redo step 2, the redirect url is now different):
https://audioband.github.io/AudioBand/audioband/audiosources/spotify.html

it used to be http://localhost:80 now it's http://localhost/

Glad to hear it worked, also for future issues please report them at https://github.com/AudioBand/AudioBand
(or in the discord linked in the readme file there)

Hi, I've had StartAllBack for a while, and saw recently it made possible to go back to use AudioBand in Windows 11, which is pretty nice. But after installing AudioBand, when I go to "toolbars" I still can't see "Audioband" there.

I'm running Windows 11 Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621, StartAllBack 3.5.2, and last version of AudioBand, Windows NetFramework 4.8. If anyone has any guess, I'll be grateful.

If you ran the installer of AudioBand before you did StartAllBack, it doesnt update correctly
Re-running the audioband installer should fix that issue @MBS17

Thanks for the fast answer!

Unfortunately it didn't work. I had Start installed before AudioBand. But tried installing AudioBand again two times now, uninstalled AudioBand, installed again... Same. Maybe is there an specific setting on StartAllBack? Although, when I right-click taskbar, go to "Toolbars" I do see the traditional "Desktop" and "New Toolbar..." but nothing else, no AudioBand option.

Weird, once the Toolbars menu is visible, AudioBand should appear there without any problem.
Sometimes you need to adjust some settings in StartAllBack, but once the toolbars menu is there I dont think theres anything left to do.

Sadly though I dont have a Windows 11 setup myself, so I dont know too much about this topic

Thank you anyway! It's a pity, I tried changing stuff here, but it didn't work.

I don't know if you rely on a specific feature in StartAllBack, but you can try to use ExplorerPatcher instead - maybe that one does work? Otherwise Im not sure and we'll have to hope someone else knows

Hey, I did a Clean Windows Install and managed to get Audioband. Thanks for the previous help. Now I'm struggling to import my old profile. Did anything change? (BTW, singed up on Discord... but I don't know where is faster/better). Thanks!
