REGRESSION INFO: Worked in Aspire 8.0.0, such as: Dev17.10 GA, Dev17.11 P1 and Dev17.11 P2

INSTALL STEPS

1. Clean machine: Win11 x64 23h2 ENU

2. Install VS 17.11 Preview 2 [34912.09] pre-released build.

   • Web workload
   • Includes Aspire 8.0.0

3. Apply the "darc-pub-dotnet-aspire" and SDK 8.0.5 feed for Aspire 8.0 GA

4. Install Aspire 8.1 (8.1.0-preview.1.24259.4):

   • Install cred helper (run from Windows PowerShell admin prompt)

     • iex "& { $(irm https://aka.ms/install-artifacts-credprovider.ps1) }"

   • Open new Command Prompt and run commands below

     • dotnet workload update --skip-sign-check --source https://pkgs.dev.azure.com/dnceng/public/_packaging/dotnet8/nuget/v3/index.json
     • dotnet workload install aspire --skip-sign-check --source https://pkgs.dev.azure.com/dnceng/public/_packaging/dotnet8/nuget/v3/index.json

   • Apply feeds

     • dotnet nuget add source --name dotnet8feed https://pkgs.dev.azure.com/dnceng/public/_packaging/dotnet8/nuget/v3/index.json

REPRO STEPS

1. New Project > .NET Aspire Starter Application > name it 'AspireApp1' >Framework：.NET 8.0 > Create
2. Build and F5
