Hi, I have tried the plugin and I like it, but I have some concerns about privacy.
When you rewrite the text or activate the indexing of the notes to link them.

What happens to the data?

Thanks

Hi @javiavid most of the data is relayed almost directly to openai, we store your notes as vector inside a custom db (they're not human decipherable)

The "almost" part is because we must process it briefly on our api to do a couple checks + we track most use features & commonly used prompts for rewrite so that we can start providing a better experience to users in the long run.

We also give you the ability to delete all your data from inside the plugin

@hotkartoffel

Any plans to make this opt-out... or better yet, explicit opt-in? 🤔 Really don't like the idea of your backend holding on to my data.

@joelthecoder thanks for letting us know your concerns, do you mean indexing? You don't have to enable links, in this case no indexing data will be sent, and you can also clear your data if you want from our servers.

What do you think about the possibility of being able to filter-out some folders? Would you use it, how?

I don't see an option for deleting my data inside the plugin. Where is it?

FYI, if you are technical, If you want to prevent your Links & Ask data from ever leaving your computer, you can try the following solutions https://docs.embedbase.xyz/examples/implement-a-local-first-embedbase
(of course the quality will likely be worse because OpenAI models are always superior)

@louis030195 "Clear Index" deletes all user data from the server? Not just Links data?

It's really unclear in the UI. Clear Index appears under the Links heading. Clicking it pops up a message "Links index cleared". There's no indication that Ask or notes data is cleared.
