DJV playback jams, will not resume, AVI with audio #475

DJV playback runs only until
a) end of file
b) stop
c) scrub,
then will not resume forward playback.
Oddly, reverse playback works.

This behavior occurs with AVI file, playblasted from Autodesk Maya, tested with

XVID compressed video, uncompressed audio
IYUV compressed video, uncompressed audio
