How to convert 978 mhz antenna to 1090 mhz #880

That depends on which 978 radio you have. If you have a generic Software Defined Radio (SDR) like a Nano 2 like this, then yes, it can be used for 1090 or any other frequency that it can be tuned to. However, if you have the red UAT Radio like this, then it can not be reprogrammed. It is NOT a software defined radio and will only work on 978 UAT. |

I am not in the US and 978 is of no use to me, how do i convert it to 1090 mhz if that is even possible? any documents on this ? or use a different frequency than 978 ?
