Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Given the seemingly infinite canvas, it makes printing a challenge as diagrams are often spread across multiple pages, even if they would otherwise fit on a single printed page. This results in having to export the graphic, crop it, and then print from a graphics/photo editor app for the best results.

Describe the solution you'd like
Looking for some tips or functionality that allows you to either visualize the printable area in a diagram or the ability to fix the canvas size for printing.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I'm currently exporting the graphic, cropping it, and then printing from a graphics/photo editor app for the best results.

Hi @sdavis3,

Yes, this is a known issue. Currently if the diagram spans more than one page, the app will attempt to print all pages (you can enable page breaks + zoom out to see how many pages that diagram actually spans).

Long-term solution is to give the user the following choices while printing/exporting the diagram:

  1. Print all diagram pages: (this is exactly what's happening right now).
  2. Print only diagram area with actual content (irrespective of pages spanned): Currently, I'm running into all sorts of aspect ratio issues (some contents too squished, some too expanded). So left it as is for now.
  3. Shrink diagram content to fit on one page while printing

Will try and address this in some upcoming sprint.

Also a "print preview" is a good idea for visualization before printing. Great suggestion!
