What is the work, as a high-level summary?
Change the SKU name in licensing information to the more easily readable human names which users will be more familiar with.
Check #954 for additional information

Motivation and context

Why does this work belong in this project?
This will help a user understand the SKU name which is mentioned in the licensing information section of the AAD report.

This would be useful because...

Implementation notes

Mapping the SKU name to a product name based on the frequently updated list here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/users/licensing-service-plan-reference. This page includes a link to a CSV copy as well that could be either included and updated or retrieved on-demand to map SKUs to more human readable names (e.g., CDS_DB_CAPACITY_GOV becomes "Common Data Service Database Capacity" or M365_G5_GCC becomes "Microsoft 365 GCC G5").

Please provide details for implementation, such as:

  • an example for how this would be used
  • what this would look like
  • how this would act
  • any related work, including links to related issues

Acceptance criteria

How do we know when this work is done?
When running the AAD report, the SKU names will be easily readable
