Describe the bug

Hiding arrows in the explorer with the new option does not apply to file nesting (disabled by default in vscode).

This should be consistent with folder arrows.
Also it is harder to see that e.g. Cargo.toml is not inside target but actually in the project's root.

Currently a VSCode limitation, see microsoft/vscode#148974
