Is there any plan to have a SQLAlchemy dialect for giraffez?

There is currently no plan to create a SQLAlchemy dialect that communicates with giraffez as a DBAPI. While I'm not a huge fan of SQLAlchemy as a whole, I would support work that would attempt to integrate with SQLAlchemy, in an effort to support the project. With that said, if there are attempts to contribute such a dialect I would be very supportive in getting that functionality merged.
