Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Facets are currently underutilised in the composer, with hashtags, mentions, and links having limited expression.
Describe the solution you'd like
When adding a link, a popover should appear similar to the @ mention popover - and allow choosing from options such as:
Insert title, which pulls in the website's title, and allows a user to then edit the name (preferably in the composer, but maybe in the popover?)
Embed, removing the link and embedding - eliminating the need to backspace if you just want the link card
Shortened link, current behaviour, but show the link as shortened in the composer, letting people edit as per 1
Full link
The popover should show a placeholder until the user clicks/taps - which should be the prompt to go off and grab the website data.
In the future, that could extend to special detections (i.e. of bsky links) to include 5. <site specific data, like 'article title' or 'author name' (useful in doi links)> for even richer links, and if you're querying you can also pull in canonical URLs if it's in the metadata without session, etc. info, further cleaning things up.
