It's pretty apparent that the current solution for the Edge app is an iFrame to the site. While this is a classic approach, it's not the best. For a while, a group named the Titanium Network has been making proxy bases for school. Their latest proxy base, Ultraviolet, allows you to connect to any site without error. While Ultraviolet is slower, I do think that implementing it into the MSEdge app would be an overall improvement. My proposed idea for browsing:
Site checks if iFrame fails to embed
If it doesn't, use the frame (faster). If it does, change the frame SRC to an embedded Ultraviolet link.
I'm not sure if this would all work easily with React, and may cause a partial backend rewrite. This is a more advanced idea for the site's development, and I tried to lay out everything. Reply/DM me (Death#5368) if you have any questions.
