It seems this issue can be reopened.
Since version 2.0 there are no default env variables, but it may still be needed

hi @kshshe there are some default env variables but very few ones, you can check here to see which ones are available for now.
If there are some default env variables missing that are needed for your case please comment below and I will try to add them in the future.

Hi @jkuri , @kshshe How could one access these global env variables in the .yml file for use eg an argument for a program?

you can access it same way as you would do in some bash script, so $ABSTRUSE_PULL_REQUEST for example.
