Previous to the recent App 1.8.2 - Driver 2.5.0 - UI 5.0.4 update, I always had to set the eqMac Bypass to Disabled in order to either play certain Steam games or get audio from select others, while some games worked perfectly fine. Upon the recent update go 1.8.2, the problems of said games are permanent even if I disable the bypass, run eqMac normally, Quit the eqMac application, or even uninstall eqMac.

I have done no other updates on my system prior to this problem aside from perhaps the recent mac 14.2.1 update (I may have not tried the games from that update date and prior eqMac update). I have reinstalled Steam just in case, I can only guess (a rather poor, random guess) that maybe a default mac os audio drive may be missing???

[EDIT]
I have uninstalled the above version, the problems still persisted...
BUT......
I have reinstalled App v1.7.10 Driver v2.4.3 UI v4.7.3 and all audio and/or playability of the problematic games has been solved. Currently disabling auto updates for the time being. Can give any more oversite to the above problem if requested and feasible on my end.

Though this still leaves the previous versions bug where one has to disable the bypass of eqMac for these games to run.

Have you tried restarting your Mac after the update?
Sometimes apps don't see the new driver and hence don't send any audio to the new driver.
That would require a restart to fix.
I just tested a few games on Steam and besides the fact that they all get bunched up under the Steam app so you can't control the game volume separately I can hear the audio just fine.
Is there any free game in particular I can test with?
That being said I'm already running on a newer update that I'm about to release where I fixed some things, so maybe you will find that in the next update it will also be fixed for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience :(
