Feature Request: Cursor follow window focus #26
Comments
@marcusgrando I can definitely look into it, but I'm not 100% sure I understood issue you're describing as I've never had similar issues, so would like to confirm - do you want to have option where 'window under mouse pointer is always focused/active'? Or if it's something else could you provide a step-by-step example of how you see it working - so I have better understanding of it? |
Hi @ragauskl, What I need is my mouse cursor to follow the window focus. For example, if I switch with CMD+Tab to another window on another monitor, I'd like to mouse follow to that monitor instead to stay on an old window focused. |
@marcusgrando I see, that should be relatively easy to add, I'll see when can I fit it in - in upcoming months, potentially with the release of KVM feature |
@marcusgrando I've finally released Cursr 1.5.0 as a stable release and will be looking into this feature for next update if possible or for the update right after next one as I'll be working on most demanded feature for keyboard shortcuts to control the mouse position and this feature is related in terms of functionality |
I've just release 1.7 in pre-release mode (requires Early Access setting to be enabled) and while it does not contain exact solution requested as with constant change of priority tasks it was hard to find time to include this, it now has keyboard shortcuts which may works as an alternative for now. You can now use keyboard shortcuts to move mouse to set location and where multiple layouts are used - you can bind specific shortcuts to only be used when a setup is selected. You can also set up keyboard shortcut to quickly open up pre-filled 'new move-to shortcut' form based on current location of the mouse, making them easier to set-up. If you feel like the alternative works well for you, you can close this issue, however if you'd still like to see feature to move cursor to focused window, keep this open and I'll try to find time to include it. |
When you use more keyboard shortcuts, a considerable problem is taking the mouse cursor and changing the monitor to do something on the same window-focused. Following the window focus for the mouse cursor helps a lot with this problem. I'd like it a lot if it's will be implemented anywhere.
