xz: today xz 5.6.0/5.6.1 became compromissed, what other formats (lz4/zstd) will etcher.io support? #4195

At BeagleBoard.org, we use *.img.xz images for all our files that Balena currently supports.

Now that https://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2024/03/29/4 is out of the bag, what other options can we switch to..

I'm now looking at both lz4 and zstd as possible replacements..
