Comments
Hey @jasonk! We really appreciate you taking the time to report an issue. The collaborators on this project attempt to help as many people as possible, but we're a limited number of volunteers, so it's possible this won't be addressed swiftly. If you need any help, or just have general Babel or JavaScript questions, we have a vibrant Slack community that typically always has someone willing to help. You can sign-up here for an invite. |
After some additional testing I've determined this actually started with |
It seems to me duplicate of babel/minify#1028. Did you use |

How are you using Babel?
@babel/cli
Input code
I tried to reproduce this in the REPL, but 7.17.10 isn't an option there and that's the only version where I've seen this happen.
Configuration file name
babel.config.js

Current and expected behavior
I have this simple method that produces a
get
function that will be used to build an accessor. It' simple enough that up through 7.17.8 it came out of the transpiler with only whitespace changes:After updating
@babel/core
from7.17.8
to7.17.10
it's getting transpiled to this:Environment
@babel/core
-7.17.10
node v16.14.0
