Integrate with OpenVPN to use with smartphones? #24
Comments
Best way to use it on your smartphone is to use it with Firefox for Android, which supports webextension add-ons. That's how I do it. For vpn compression you'd have better luck with this project https://github.com/barnacs/compy the set-up is difficult though, esp. if you want to handle https traffic The bandwidth hero project takes a different approach, but one that's way easier to put into practice. It's a shame mobile chrome doesn't support extensions. |
Other alternative is to use kiwi browser, which is based on chrome and supports extensions, the set up is the same as with desktop chrome, but it will not work for other apps |
Great extension. I use it on my desktop. I'm trying to see if I can use this for my smartphone. I want to compress images. I was hoping I could integrate bandwidth-hero with OpenVPN. So, if I use OpenVPN server, image compression proxy is part of the OpenVPN connection.
