It looks like you're facing this issue due to any missing or conflicting dependencies.

Try the following steps:

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of pip by running pip install --upgrade pip
  2. Try uninstalling any conflicting packages by running pip uninstall <package_name>
  3. Try installing pipenv in a virtual environment using python -m venv env and source env/bin/activate (If you successfully install it in a new virtual environment, there's a great chance of having conflicting dependencies.)
  4. Check if you have any other version of python in your system and try installing pipenv using that version of python.
  5. Check if there is any proxy which is blocking the installation
