now , is 4 years we need address ffmpeg build fails and python 3.12 or 3.11 |

Any chance we can get a 0.50 release? Running into more and more issues in downstream projects that are fixed in source but I don't love targetting a moving git repo as a dependency. |

The latest release from aubio dates back to 2019 while upstream is active: aubio/aubio#381 Current git HEAD includes support for ffmpeg 6.x: https://github.com/aubio/aubio/commits/master/src/io/source_avcodec.c and also removed the dependency to libavresample which was dropped in ffmpeg 6.0: aubio/aubio@245deea so we can just depend on the ffmpeg package without suboptions, quoting configure log: Checking for 'libavcodec' : yes Checking for 'libavformat' : yes Checking for 'libavutil' : yes Checking for 'libswresample' : yes Checking for all libav libraries : yes Signed-off-by: Bernd Kuhls <[email protected]>
