I'm trying to set up my tree view such that the name of any directory (list item) that overflows the bounding box of tree view will wrap to the next line, so that the tree view does not scroll left and right, but rather wraps text to the next line.
I've grabbed the CSS selector
.tree-view
and tried settingoverflow-wrap: anywhere
andoverflow-wrap: break-word
, but neither have any effect. I've also triedword-break: break-all
, which also has no effect. However, if I set
overflow-x: hidden
, I can successfully hide any text that overflows a given line. So, I believe I'm using the correct CSS selector to access the element I'm trying to affect.I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, and just want to make sure it's actually possible to wrap text in the tree view, before I carry on trying to figure it out.
