With the #35 implemented (PR #45) it feels like a good idea to add support for styling depending on other factors. For example, having bold and red messages for critical and error messages, etc. This should be implemented while keeping in mind the possibility of customizing individual loggers, which may cause conflicts.
My suggestion is the following. We specify a style for each category like the following:
set style <logger name>[:category:<category name>] -> <style sheet>
where
field
description
logger name
the name for the logger to set the style for, or empty for the global setting
category
the category name (as for now, let's only have log_level) or empty for the overall setting (for logger)
category name
the explicit category name to apply the style for
Later, the logger name can be merged within the category, we may also consider some regex matching.
As of now, this seems to provide some room for styling individual portions of the log window (e.g. only the log_level column for specific loggers). Though, I'm not sure if there's a use for that.
