I noticed my AMD64 (Gentoo Linux) system running sluggishly and saw my RAM usage was at 3GB! Looking at the list of tasked showed chromium was (uncharacteristically) the source, and looking at chromium's specific memory allocations showed Tab Sugar as the culprit: http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/9206/tabsugarleak.png
I uninstalled the extension, but I suppose if necessary (you haven't already tracked a large memory leak) I could reinstall and trace to see if I can help pin it down.
