add constrast to tables

A wonderful package, thanks so much for your great work!

Text and code chunks look fantastic on my site but my package README has a table that, except for hyperlinks, has very low contrast among the dark page background, table background, and table text. The table is about half-way down the page just above the location where this link will take you. Is there a way to adjust the color of one of those elements so that the table is more legible? This probably goes without saying but, just to be sure, I am speaking specifically about dark mode.
