The platformio auto installer has to be run every time the marlin-config is opened. And the label when installed says "instaled". Perhaps not an issue, but it is a bit tedious to install platformIO several times in a session.

No, it has'nt.

Please, read this :
#59

and add this to the path : C:\Users\USER\.platformio\python27;C:\Users\USER\.platformio\python27\Scripts;C:\Users\USER\.platformio\python27\Tools

replace USER with your username, or with %USERNAME%
