How could I implement 3d authentication with stripe?

I followed the stripe documentation but I could make it work.
If 3d auth is set required it does work and will give me an error that further verification needed.
I followed the implementation written here : https://commercejs.com/blog/strong-customer-authentication-with-stripe/
But no authentication was sent to my phone I just got the error again.
Anyone tried this before?
