[Feature Request/Enhancement] Automate moon mode #689
Comments
This is an interesting idea, but I cannot think a good way to implement this. Detecting a bright source of light is a very vague concept. If you figure out the altitude of the moon that is still outside the field of view, you could just set the moon mode to not engage below that altitude. |
This could be merged with my request for a moon mode that was aware of the phasing of the moon (and yes, it runs into all the same issues discussed in #715 - darks/gain adjustment etc.) |
Just had an idea for moon mode, is there anyway it could be more automated?
For example, if moon mode is enabled, and there's no huge bright source of light, could the gain be bumped back up to the normal level? Have had a few nights where the moon hasn't been fully visible and having the gain back at a higher level would've been great.
I'm not running a full 180 degree lens so this may not be an issue for everyone.
