v1.0.2

  • Fix bug introduced in 8b352f75 when fixing #168 capsh does not set HOME to the user's home. Reverting to sudo is necessary to set the user's HOME and other login environment. sudo was previously replaced with capsh in 930fa012. Fixes #169
  • Set zmpath from user's HOME (tilde prefix)

v1.0.1

  • Add manpage using help2man, helper script for generating manpage
  • Reformat help text, add --version (in a format suitable for help2man)
  • Use POSIX compliant awk programs instead of GNU awk
  • Improve detection of invalid option combinations
  • Remove certbot-auto version detection bootstrapping hack

  • Fix --agree-tos not working
  • Rewrite logic for finding CA certificate from chain (fixes #140)
  • If certbot >=v2 is detected, override private key type to RSA
    • If certbot is >=2.0.0 apply options while requesting a new certificate to obtain a RSA key. Also request a 4096 bit key. Fixes #164
  • deprecate certbot-auto support, move it to bottom priority
  • Fix -L|--letsencrypt-params parsing for argument strings with spaces Issues #140 #151
  • Change the way certbot-zimbra establishes the list of SAN's (#161)
    • In addition to zimbraPublicServiceHostname it also looks at entries added to zimbraVirtualHostname to find all SAN's for the certificate.
  • various syntax and coding style changes

v0.7.12

  • Use topmost certificate in chain to find CA cert. Fixes #129
  • Coding style changes:
    • Use local variables where possible and unset them after use
    • Make constants readonly
    • Change all variables to lowercase
      • To comply with shell coding best practices and prevent clashing with any shell or environment variables.
      • Also add some missing globals to the initial declaration at the top of the file.

v0.7.11

  • Fix extracting CA from tls-ca-bundle.pem when spaces are removed from CN (#106)
    • On some RHEL/CentOS/Fedora systems, tls-ca-bundle.pem lists certificate CN's with spaces removed. This fixes extraction of the CA in such cases.

v0.7.10

  • Add missing check for --prompt-confirm (#100)
  • Improve nginx templates patching process (#101)
    • replace sed with awk script that is much more resilient, doesn't care about indentation, handles modified templates without breaking
  • Separate nginx templates and includes check
    • Previously the templates were patched if the includes were unpatched, this happened in the case when the templates were previously patched but the nginx restart was rejected or failed. This resulted in the templates being patched multiple times. Now we check for patched templates first, then check for unpatched includes and restart nginx if necessary.
  • Restore old nginx templates if patching fails, add more status output
  • Rework certbot version detection (#104)
    • fix improper pipeline syntax
    • detect certbot errors and grep parsing errors separately
    • print helpful error message prompting the user to run certbot by itself in case it may need to bootstrap
  • Lowercase local variable
  • Use gawk (GNU awk) and add it to dependency check (fixes #102)
  • Add zmhostname to dependency check

v0.7.9

  • Re-add showing certbot version if prompt-confirm isn't set
  • Move get_domain to bootstrap()
  • Handle interactive certbot bootstrap (#99)
    • add --no-bootstrap to certbot --version if --prompt-confirm is not set (exit with error if certbot needs to bootstrap)
    • pass through --noninteractive (answers yes to all certbot questions)
  • README: replace @jjakob e-mail with username
  • README: remove --cert-name from command as it's already passed
  • README: fix typo
  • README: remove reference to 0.5 stable version, tone down warnings

  • improved README documentation
