ISSUE: Auto Minimize on Start setting ignored

Describe the issue
Application opens in full window upon startup, despite 'Auto Start', 'Auto Minimize on Start', and 'Minimize to Tray' all being checked.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to 'Settings'
2. Check 'Auto Start' (should be checked)
3. Check 'Auto Minimize on Start' (should be checked)
4. Check 'Minimize to Tray' (should be checked)
5. Click 'Save'
6. Restart the system

Expected behavior
The program should launch automatically but appear in the system tray only.

Tested on official WireGuard client
Wireguard client behaves as expected under similar conditions.

Tested on different VPN servers
This is a UI issue. Minor, but annoying. Different VPN servers have no effect.

Thanks for reporting this. I'm not able to replicate it however. I'm testing on Windows 11 23H2. What version of Windows are you running and is it still an issue?

It seems to be an issue with Tauri as seen in this issue.

I had the same issue. I'm on Windows 11 with the newest version and had TunnlTo 1.0.6 installed. Now when upgrading to 1.0.7 the window now starts minimized on startup.

Maybe this is a first time installation issue? @Gahawn does updating to the newest version also fix the issue for you?

I was using the 1.0.6 version. After seeing felldo's comment, I updated to 1.0.7 and it seems to be resolved now. :)

Thanks for following up. I updated the Tauri dependency in 1.0.7 which must have included a fix for this issue... although I didn't see anything about it in the release notes.

I update to 1.0.7, it doesn't help.

@jabacrack Can you try the following please:

• Close TunnlTo
• Open file explorer to C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\com.tunnl.to
• Rename the .window-state file to .window-state-old
• Check if the problem persists
