Manual date entry missing in Datepicker table column

Description:
This issue reports the inability to enter dates manually in the datepicker column type after 1.6 release

Current behavior:
Users can only select dates through the calendar interface within the datepicker column.
Manually entering dates in the input field is not possible.

Expected behavior:
Users should be able to choose a date both by selecting from the calendar and by manually entering it in a designated field.
