disable the filter reset on table update

I have a table implementation with the expandable rows with a column filter. Once filtered, I need to reload the table with additional data using onClick event handler.

Now on table update, the filter gets cleared and the table comes to its original state. My requirement is to somehow disable the filter reset on the table update. So in filtered state, I can load the sub row without changing the filter state,
