I don't find time to work on this problem

StatMixedML/XGBoostLSS#8

which is also true for catboostlss.

In case you have a solution let me know.

You might want to start looking into

https://github.com/stanfordmlgroup/ngboost

I am not sure to what extent we can borrow from it. Initially, I didn't want to change the implementation of catboost to retain as much of its efficiency as possible. But it seems like there are some changes to be made to arrive at multi-parameter optimization.

You can create a pull-request and I'll check out your suggestions
