for the past couple of weeks, I have been working on a new project, to update the trackpad code to enable gestures and better stability. But due to the fact, it is still in work in progress, I want you guest test the kext as well. I am using the kext and I never looked back. It works really well. But of course your milage may vary, so here is the link, if you want to try it out: https://github.com/SkyrilHD/VoodooPS2-ALPS/releases/tag/1.0.2
Maybe I will add it to the new release of the EFI as well.
Few stuff to point out:
It is in Beta. Don't expect the driver to be good
Only works on V7; No other versions of the trackpad will work! You can still give it a try and provide feedback in the issues page of the driver repo
lower your pointer speed
there might be a few jumps here and there
don't forget to add VoodooInput in the config.plist
