Bug description

New log explorer (default one) histogram shows a gap in the basic view of number of logs:
Zrzut ekranu 2024-04-26 111007

While the old logs explorer correctly displays data in the same time frame:
Zrzut ekranu 2024-04-26 110954

The data itself is in the database (for example 8:56-8:57 filtered by timestamp gives about 850k records in signoz_logs.logs table).

Expected behavior

Both logs explorers should display the same histogram view.

How to reproduce

  1. Log into signoz frontend
  2. Go to Logs
  3. View histogram for unusual gaps
  4. Compare the same time frame on new log explorer and old log explorer

Version information

  • Signoz version: 0.43.0 (installed via helm chart 0.39.1)
  • Browser version: Chrome 124.0.6367.62 and 124.0.6367.60, Firefox 113.0.2, (3 different users tested)
  • Your OS and version: Windows 11, Fedora 40
  • Your CPU Architecture(ARM/Intel): Intel

Additional context

This happened for the first time - the signoz environment runs for about a month and we didn't encounter similar situations before.

If I need to paste/provide additional info/logs - please say what/from which element.

Thank you for your bug report – we love squashing them!

Have a nice day :)
