Hi, I have written several Arduino-based examples, here is a list of them:
Basic explanation/overviewSerial Studio can process data with the following format:
Where:
Note: the frame start/end sequences and the data separator character can be customized for each one of your projects by using the JSON editor (shown in second screenshot). JSON map fileTo process incoming frames, Serial Studio uses a JSON map file to build a dashboard for the given frame format. The map file can be generated manually or using the JSON editor option in the toolbar: The JSON editor allows you to easily tell Serial Studio what your data means and what to do with it, here is another screenshot: Groups and datasetsSerial Studio organizes data into groups and datasets. Groups contain multiple related datasets, for example, you can build an accelerometer widget by creating a group with the You can visualize the groups and datasets for your project by looking at the "JSON Tree View" sub-window in the JSON editor: Datasets describe what each value sent by the microcontroller means (e.g. After generating your JSON map file, click on the "Save" button. The JSON editor window will be automatically closed and Serial Studio will automatically load your saved map file. After that you can try connecting to your microcontroller to visualize incoming data. Please let me know if this helps you or if you have any doubts. I am not a very good writer, but you can find some (outdated) content in the wiki. Contributions welcome! |

Just stumbled across this and it could help solve our problem. But I need a bit of help. Our CanSat is very basic. RPi Pico BMP280 and a servo for an action. I can get the data from the BMP280 to transmit into the Thonny shell using the basic code below. I'm not sure how to go from printing in shell to getting the data into serial studio. Are there any basic tutorials about to help with the code?
Setup is
Tx (connected via USB to one PC)
RPi Pico
BMP280
RFM9x Lora
Rx (connected via USB to another PC)
RPi Pico
RFM9x Lora
Rx code is..
Hoping to move at my pace to be able to modify the code and then to be able to explain it to students. Just getting a bit lost trying to Google and ot sure what the right question is :-)
Hope you don't mind me asking. Just keen to help the students as this is their first year on CanSat so it's zero to launch in no time at all.
Tnks
Alex
