Custom activity types

I'm sorry if I'm missing something, but there doesn't seem to be an option to add custom activity type.

I imagine the solution to be an option in settings where all activity types would be listed with an option to add own. Maybe even add custom icons

Now I can only add custom activity type when creating/editing existing activity, but cannot select one from the menu

Exactly - the activity types are still hardcoded including the assignment to icons.
