Slack vs Discord - Drop one?

There was originally a Slack channel, entry required approval - I'm not sure who operates the invites but they're way behind. I applied over a week ago and still didn't get approved, I think this has been the experience of most of the recent new people.

Unsurprisingly, the community created an alternative - a Discord channel, there is no approval to join and it's gaining momentum.

IMHO the worst thing we could do now is keep both, discussion and attention becomes fragmented.
I don't personally have a preference for one over the other, but strongly feel that we should drop one.

Whichever one we choose, please make the barrier-to-entry lower that it is for the Slack channel right now. Feel free to discuss, and take the poll. Also feel free to disagree with me and say there value in keeping both.

While discord leads slightly on this poll, there aren't enough votes (or discussion) to warrant action.
