Plugin v5.9.0 Incompatible with DGS-Framework v7 #561
Comments
The dependency version of "graphql version" has been upgraded from 19.5 to 20.2 in "graphql-dgs-platform" 7 .X. Try adding "implementation("com.graphql-java:graphql-java:20.2")". |
Thanks for reporting. We are maintaining 2 different branches of the DGS
framework for a temporary period of time - one on Spring Boot 2.7 and the
other on Spring Boot 3.0. The latter is updated to the latest graphql-java
version but we still need the dgs-codegen plugin working with the older
graphql-java 19.x version.
Please continue using the workaround you proposed, and we will look into
fixing this in the near future once we have some convergence in the
versions we need to support.

Netflix/dgs-framework#1523
<Netflix/dgs-framework#1523>
Try adding "implementation("com.graphql-java:graphql-java:20.2")".
This worked for me.

Hi,
a few days ago I updated my
com.netflix.graphql.dgs:graphql-dgs-platform-dependencies
from version6.X
to7.X
.It seems the codegen plugin is incompatible with the newest release as it requires version
5.5.1.
When I execute a graphql query I'm getting an
NoSuchMethodError
:Once I pin the version of the framework to
6
and use the codegen plugin version5.9.0
, everything works smoothly again and the versions match again. My
build.gradle.kts
:Cheers
Theo
