Final stage of wheat too similar to latest intermediate stages #8
Comments
Hey thanks! And sorry for the late reply; been a little busy. I see; I haven't played Voxelgarden, but I'll have to take a look. But, I can take a look, and see if I can come up with something to increase the visibility. Maybe add some better tips or something. |
Thanks for taking a look! It's not urgent:-) I agree it is different (larger, darker), so having difficulties in clearly distinguishing the phases is probably a fault with my eyes or brain, but because I don't have any problem with the other plants it was surprising enough to report it. |
No prob! Here's a screenshot of the following edited textures included below; taken in mineclonia: And, the zip you can unpack/merge into your local REFI TXP folder: Same textue with a slight recolor into a drier, and more golden look. And, then added some light brown-orange tip markings to further differentiate the final wheat stage. Does that work a bit better for you? |
Tried that and it works great. I really like the brownish tips, they are beautiful! Thank you so much! |
Great, glad to hear it! And, yea; no prob! |
Great textures!
After spending quite some time playing using this pack with several base games (mcl, mtg, and voxelgarden) and lots of mods, I really like it very much and I have only one little thing I regularly stumble upon.
To me it's difficult to distinguish the final stage of wheat in game, even though the textures are quite different when viewed side by side. Ideally the final stage had some obvious marker like the white in cotton, but after looking at photos of actual wheat plants there doesn't seem to be such an obvious color. Perhaps the earlier stages could be greener and only the final stage have intense yellow? (Now it seems to me that the final stage has more greenish pixels than the earlier stages, but I like how the first stage is yellow, making it easy to distinguish especially from voxelgarden's weed.)
