The overlay model may need to be a bit bigger than the original layer, otherwise, it may overlap with the existing model and not be visible.

Can you also attach a demo workspace so we can see if anything can be done about this?

I think this is just a restriction of humanoid model, the player model class has the rest of the overlay parts.
